Calling All Business Development Specialists!

Tags: , , , , , , , , ,

This week in Solvate500, Solvate has set its focus on established independent consultants with business development backgrounds in fields as varied as real estate to health care, from high tech to consumer goods, from alternative energy to all things small business.  We’re also opening our doors to recent and current MBAs with start-up experience who are looking for some hands on experience with some of America’s most exciting emerging businesses.

When matching projects, we find that domain expertise is often the tie breaker when our staffing engine compares two consultants with similar backgrounds.  Clients also prefer to connect with Talent who know as much, if not more, about their industry as they do.  This way, the learning curve is reduced and Talent can jump into a project head first and get to work.

Think you’re a true specialists?  Meet some of our current talent who fit the bill:

Adam Volini: The perfect blend of business strategy, health care and technology
With a BS from Cornell in Biological and Environmental Engineering and an MBA from the University of Rochester, Adam most recently served at Commercialization Manager at High Tech Rochester, a business incubator funded by the Department of Labor.  Here, he led a team of analysts in advising life sciences technology start-up companies on developing market opportunities, defining business structure, financial modeling, and capital raising strategies.

Ari Meisel: LEED Certified Entrepreneur
With a BA in Economics from the Wharton School of Business, Ari is an adaptive reuse developer specializing in green building consulting and sustainable design.  He operates The Leed Pro, a daily list of green building products organized by LEED credit, which is slated to be published as a book in Spring of 2010.  As the founder of ARISE Development, Ari has also helped rehabilitate eight 19th century industrial buildilngs in Binghampton, New York, into luxury loft living and high end retail space.

Michael Shrumak, An Actuary who knows Startups
Micheal Shrumrak has nearly 25-years of experience as an actuary, reinsurer, and business consultant. He has startup and corporate experience and expertise in optimizing niche market opportunities, providing market entry and expansion support, and developing diversified product offerings. Michael delivers fresh perspectives, offers keen assessments, and hands on guidance through all business cycles—expansion, contraction, and diversification.
