  • Lead UI / Interaction Designer (Full-time)

    Location: New York, NY

    We’re looking for a skilled UI / Interaction designer to help us build our online application platform that lets companies and freelancers connect and work together online.  Qualified candidates will have solid experience with UI / Interaction design, a passion for critical analysis and usability problem solving, and the ability to create world-class interfaces that are clean and simple to use.  You’ll be working with a tight-knit team to revolutionize the way people work together online, so a good dose of ambition, creativity, and humility is required. 

    You will:

    • Play a key role in the design of our user interfaces and take part in all new site features
    • Work primarily with the product and engineering teams, but lend the marketing team a hand when needed
    • Turn product requirements into compelling user interface designs under tight release deadlines
    • Solve usability problems, not just make things pretty
    • Promote consistency across Solvate’s product, working from and building upon our style guidelines

    Requirements:

    • A must - a portfolio demonstrating 3-5 years of UI / interaction design for multi-user / social web application functionality
    • Clean, fresh design aesthetic and strong eye for layout
    • A degree in human-computer interaction, web / graphic design, or equivalent experience
    • Knowledge of the latest design patterns and usability principles
    • Great communication skills and positive attitude!
    • Ability to take direction
    • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery is a plus

  • Senior Account Executive (Full-time)

    Location: Austin, TX

    We’re looking for a skilled and experienced HUNTER comfortable working with clients ranging in size from sole props to Fortune 500 companies. Qualified candidates will preferably have a strong familiarity with technology and digital services industry vernacular and will function well in unestablished environments. We are looking for individuals who are excited about being a part of an organization who’s sales function is so new that not everything has been “processized”. You’ll be working with a tight-knit team to revolutionize the way people work together online, so a good dose of ambition, creativity, and humility is required. While established and in the midst of a high-momentum period, we are still a start-up environment. 

    You will: 

    • Be responsible for closing the first ever sale with new clients - this is a 100% new business, hunting role
    • Work hand in hand with your junior sales rep and share a bookings quota with a team of three other individuals, all of whom will play a specific role in the overall success or failure of your team (pre-sales research engineer (lead creation), junior sales (cold calling/ appt setting), SAE (hunting), AM (match making/ farming)
    • Work in a high-risk, high-reward, and high-pressure environment where victories are celebrated and losses are learned from
    • Maintain a pipeline of between 100 and 200 individual accounts
    • Practice high-level customer service and consistently convey Solvate’s value proposition to the marketplace

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2 years new business selling experience in fast-paced, sophisticated (preferably SaaS) selling environment
    • Knowledge of SalesForce.com highly preferred 
    • Four year college degree or the equivalent military service
    • Must be a self-starter who has an insatiable desire to win and is comfortable working in a performance culture
    • Relevant rolodex preferred

  • Account Manager (Full-time)

    We’re looking for a skilled and experienced account manager comfortable working with clients ranging in size from sole props to Fortune 500 companies.     • Play dual roles - as both “match maker” (suggesting the appropriate freelancers from within our database to meet a client’s needs) and sales person - cross-selling and up-selling into existing business accounts - “farming”
    • Share a bookings quota with a team of three other individuals, all of whom will play a specific role in the overall success or failure of your team (pre-sales research engineer (lead creation), junior sales (cold calling/ appt setting), SAE (hunting), AM (match making/ farming)

    We’re looking for a bright and energetic “go-getter” who wants to start a successful sales career in an environment where learning is uncapped. Ideally you will have some phone sales experience (telemarketing and political canvassing count!) and not be afraid of cold calling. Qualified candidates will preferably have a strong familiarity with web technology will function well in unestablished environments. We are looking for individuals who are excited about being a part of an organization whose sales function is so new that not everything has been “processized”. You’ll be working with a tight-knit team to revolutionize the way people work together online, so a good dose of ambition, creativity, and humility is required.     You will: 

    • Be responsible for generating meetings for our senior sales people by cold calling new leads and working your way through gatekeepers to decision makers
    • Work hand in hand with your teammates and share a bookings quota with a team of three other individuals, all of whom will play a specific role in the overall success or failure of your team (pre-sales research engineer (lead creation), junior sales (cold calling/ appt setting), SAE (hunting), AM (match making/ farming)
